Public Reddit media: start with the source
Reddit posts can contain platform-hosted video, images, galleries or external links. The post permalink is the best starting point because it preserves the community and source context. Open the post and copy its Share link rather than the subreddit homepage or a search listing.
For a Reddit-hosted video, the picture and audio may be separate streams. A small video file with no soundtrack is not necessarily a broken transfer. Check for a video-only label and choose a combined option when one is available. See the Reddit Video Downloader for that distinction.
An external link post is different from a Reddit-hosted attachment. The thumbnail may only preview another website. SaveFlow does not treat a Reddit wrapper as permission to download a private or protected destination. Image galleries may return a limited set of supported files; a complete gallery or thread export is not promised.
Keep the original post link with an authorized download, especially when a clip depends on discussion context. A post title can paraphrase or misdescribe a video, and comments are not included in the media file. The uploader may also be different from the original creator whose rights apply.
Copy the link and review the result
Open the individual Reddit post, use Share and Copy link, and paste the post permalink. Review the returned title and media preview. For a video, check whether the chosen format includes audio before downloading.
On phones and tablets, the browser may save the file into Downloads or Files before it appears in a photo library. Use the normal device Paste command if clipboard permission is unavailable. Keep the page open while a file is being prepared; a result preview is not itself a completed download.
Availability and responsible use
Private, quarantined, age-restricted or login-gated communities may not expose media to the public engine. Removed posts and rate-limited requests can also fail. This tool does not use a Reddit account to overcome those conditions.
Signed result links expire. Request the original URL again for a fresh result while the media remains public. Generated server files are temporary rather than a permanent archive.
