Public Pinterest media: start with the source
A Pinterest Pin connects an image or video preview with a saved source. Start with the individual Pin URL, rather than a board or profile. A pin.it sharing link may redirect to a longer Pinterest address; if a redirecting link fails, open the Pin in a browser and copy the final public page address.
Pinterest is often a discovery service for work published elsewhere. A Pin’s picture is not a declaration that the person who saved it owns the image, and a source link can lead to a separate site. When attribution or licensing matters, follow the source and identify the actual creator before retaining or reusing a file.
The Pinterest Video Downloader covers a Pin with supported video media. Static image Pins may not be handled by the video engine. A photograph displayed in the app is not automatically an available video, and no animated version is created by this tool.
The returned dimensions and encoding depend on what Pinterest makes available. Saving a preview does not recover an original full-resolution photograph, design source or printable artwork from the destination website. For commercial or print work, obtain the creator’s authorized original.
Copy the link and review the result
Open one Pin, choose its Share or Copy link control, and paste the copied URL. Check the preview and caption in the result. If video formats are present, choose the required resolution and save the returned file.
On phones and tablets, the browser may save the file into Downloads or Files before it appears in a photo library. Use the normal device Paste command if clipboard permission is unavailable. Keep the page open while a file is being prepared; a result preview is not itself a completed download.
Availability and responsible use
Private boards, deleted Pins, login requirements and external source restrictions remain outside this workflow. A public board URL can contain many Pins and is not a request to download the whole board.
Signed result links expire. Request the original URL again for a fresh result while the media remains public. Generated server files are temporary rather than a permanent archive.
