Check permission before the format

Before copying a link, ask whether you own the media or have permission to save and use it. A creator may permit personal reference but prohibit redistribution or commercial use. A Creative Commons license can carry attribution, sharing or other conditions. Keep a record of the source and permission alongside the downloaded file.

Music, footage, photographs, performances and logos in one video can belong to different people. Permission from the person who posted a compilation may not cover every included work. Do not assume that removing a watermark, changing a caption or cropping a frame changes the underlying rights.

Respect people as well as files

Avoid saving or distributing sensitive personal media without an appropriate basis and consent where required. Do not use a downloader to monitor someone, impersonate an account, embarrass a person, create a misleading edit or expose private information. Consider the people appearing in the media, especially children and people in vulnerable situations.

Public visibility does not mean unrestricted use. A file shared briefly in a Story can still be sensitive. When in doubt, ask the creator for a suitable copy rather than trying to recover an expired or restricted item.

Keep access boundaries intact

Use only public URLs. SaveFlow does not take passwords, cookies, private sessions or paid-access credentials. If a platform requires authentication or protects a stream, that is a boundary to respect. Do not attempt to evade rate limits or resubmit a blocked request through misleading addresses.

Choose the tool that matches the original link, check the author and caption in the result, and read any format labels before downloading. A “video only” file has no audio; an image preview may not be the original image. SaveFlow does not promise to recreate unavailable source files.

Before sharing a saved copy

• Confirm that your permission covers the intended audience and purpose.
• Preserve required credit, license notices and source links.
• Avoid edits that misrepresent the creator or people shown.
• Check that the file opens correctly and includes the expected sound or images.
• Use the creator’s official download or export when it is the better authorized option.
