Public Facebook Story links

Facebook Stories are temporary photo or video items presented in a dedicated viewer. This tool checks a shared Story URL for media accessible through public requests. It does not open friends-only Stories, collect a person’s Story history or use a logged-in account to reveal restricted content.

A Story may be visible to you because of your relationship with the owner, a Page setting or an existing session. Those permissions do not transfer to SaveFlow. A shareable address is not enough on its own: the underlying media also needs to be publicly reachable and supported by the extractor.

Why a Story link can stop working

Stories have a limited display lifetime, and owners can remove them sooner or change their audience. An old link in a chat can remain after the content has disappeared. SaveFlow does not store a historical copy that can be retrieved after expiry. For your own material, keep the original file rather than relying on a future public download.

The link shape may include a Story identifier and additional parameters. Copy the address from Facebook’s own sharing controls without attempting to construct an identifier yourself. A profile, Page or general Stories feed is a different destination from one individual Story.

What a Story file preserves

A returned image or video contains the source media, not a full copy of Facebook’s interactive viewer. Reaction controls, link stickers and audience information are not necessarily part of the file. A video soundtrack is available only if it is included in the returned format. The tool cannot restore interactions or replace an unavailable track.

This format has stronger access and expiry limitations than many ordinary public videos. A failed Story request can therefore be an expected limitation. No credential export, private session or authentication workaround is needed or accepted here.

Check and submit the shared Story

1. Open the intended Story while it is available.
2. Use the available sharing control to copy its direct link.
3. Confirm that the address opens the intended item rather than a general Story feed.
4. Paste the URL here and review any returned preview or file options.
5. Save a file only if you have the right to keep it.

Facebook’s sharing menu can differ between your own Story, a Page’s Story and someone else’s restricted Story. If a direct public link is not available, this form cannot create one. Ask the owner for an authorized file instead of attempting to change access settings through a downloader.

For several Story items, verify each returned item individually. One link does not guarantee the whole sequence. A phone may save images and videos into different locations, so use the browser download manager to check the completed transfer.
