Start with the Reel’s own link
A Facebook Reel is a short-form video destination, distinct from a page, profile or general video feed. To work with one Reel, open that item and copy its share link. The address may contain a Reel identifier or redirect from a shortened sharing URL. Check that it returns to the same video before submitting it.
Use the Facebook Reel tool for its specific instructions. SaveFlow requests media available through public access; it does not join groups, open private profiles or borrow your Facebook session. A post that plays while you are logged in is not necessarily available to the server.
Copy on mobile and desktop
On mobile, use the Reel’s Share controls and choose Copy link if offered. The exact position varies with Facebook’s interface. If a copied message contains both text and a URL, paste only the URL into the tool. On desktop, open the Reel’s dedicated page and copy the address bar rather than the surrounding feed address.
Do not copy a comment link or another person’s reaction when you need the video itself. A reshared post can introduce another layer between the copied address and the original Reel. If the wrong preview appears, return to the source and recopy the individual video link.
Review the returned information
Compare the thumbnail, creator and description with the intended Reel. Then inspect the available quality and format labels. A “video only” file has no soundtrack; a merged option can take longer to prepare. The platform determines available resolution, so a downloader cannot guarantee the camera-original quality.
Some media responses omit a file size until preparation. An estimate is useful for comparing choices but may differ from the final file. Keep the page open while the selected file is prepared. If a temporary result link expires, process the original Reel URL again.
Find the file and avoid misleading actions
Your browser controls the destination folder. On a phone, check Downloads or Files before assuming the video was not saved. It may take a separate action to place it in Gallery or Photos. On a computer, use the browser’s download history to locate the file.
The result’s download button is the file action. A labelled advertisement is separate, and clicking an ad is never required to unlock a format. You do not need a SaveFlow account, browser extension or Facebook password for this public-link workflow.
When processing stops
A Reel can be removed, restricted by region or age, or made unavailable to logged-out visitors. Facebook can also change the media response or temporarily limit requests. Verify the original link and wait before retrying a transient failure. Do not share credentials or try to bypass a private-group boundary.
If you need a reliable copy of your own Reel, keep the original export. If the work belongs to someone else, obtain permission and preserve credit.
